There are different opinions about the benefits and harms caused by salt. What is beyond doubt is the fact that sea salt with a lot of different minerals and microelements is healthier than common table salt (isolated sodium chloride, NaCl) which consists only of sodium and chlorine, maybe is adulterated with some additive like iodine or an antiagglomerant.
If we live by the seaside, we can collect salt in small quantity on the rocks where it remains in dry periods.
For example on Ibiza and Formentera the exploitation of seasalt goes back to Phoenician times. Till nowadays there are the Salines of Ibiza and Formentera, shich have become a valuable biotope.
In cooking we can even add sea water to the fresh water, always taken from a place where there are no people bathing with their skins with sun-tan lotion or other chemicals. We dan also use sea water to rinse our mouths after using a toothpaste.
